Remove Viruses, Trojans and Malware from your site,
for as little as £120!
More frequently then ever websites are getting hacked into and infected with Virus, Malware and Trojans. The effect and severity of this varies, but needless to say it’s not something that will reflect well on your business and your website. In the worst cases, where the issue is not dealt with swiftly it can lead to search engines blocking your site. To add to the problem personal virus scanners will often pick up threats like this and prevent users from viewing the site.
The other issue, that’s often not realised, is that it generally means that someone else has control of your site. Nine times out of ten a hacker will leave a ‘back door’, allowing them to get into your site again easily in the future. For most businesses that’s an unacceptable risk. Do you trust a stranger with your data, or your public face?
So how do you know if your site been infected?
There are several ways of flagging up if your website has a Virus or Malware. The best way is to keep a virus scanner on your personal computer up-to-date and ensure that you are regularly viewing your site. Often however, these viruses my be fairly harmless meaning not all virus scanners will flag them up. More often than not, it is a customer that will let your know that there is a problem.
If your site is based around a CMS (Content Management System) such as WordPress you might find that key areas of your site, such as your admin pannel, appear stop working or appear to be acting strangely.
For the more tech-savy the apearance of rogue code in the source of a site is a clear indicator. It will tend to appear as a string of random characters, normally between two <script> tags.

Once the site is up and running I can then work through a copy of the site, thoroughly checking for problems or hunting for that elusive ‘back door’. Alternatively if a recent backup is available I can work from that, checking for problems and any updates required.
Which ever way the site is restored, I then work through the site, looking for security holes, and hardening it against future attacks, before replacing your live site with a safer, hardened version.
